Our mission
Buying anything for a dog has become an exercise in filtering noise. Search for a harness and you get ten near-identical lists ranking the same five products, none of which anyone appears to have used. Search for feeding advice and you get the same paragraph rewritten forty times, each version slightly less accurate than the last.
Togo Paws exists to be the opposite of that. We publish fewer articles, research each one properly, write in plain English, and update them when the facts change. If a product is fine but unremarkable, we say so. If a popular recommendation is bad, we say that too.
What we value
- Usefulness over volume
- One article that answers the question beats twenty that circle it. We would rather publish slowly.
- Saying when we don't know
- Where evidence is thin or contested, we say so. Manufactured confidence is the most common failure in pet content, and it is the easiest one to avoid.
- Plain language
- If a sentence needs a second read, it is our fault, not yours.
- Accountability
- Every article carries a real name. Corrections happen in public. Our editorial policy is written down so you can hold us to it.
- The animal comes first
- When a commercial interest and a dog's welfare point in different directions, the dog wins. That is not a slogan — it is the reason we do not sell rankings.
Why you should trust us — and where to be sceptical
Reasons to trust what you read here:
- Every claim is traceable to a source, listed in a References block you can check yourself.
- Every article names the person who wrote it, and where applicable who reviewed and edited it.
- Health content requires review by a qualified veterinary professional under our medical review policy.
- We disclose our affiliate relationships above the content, not buried in a footer.
- We publish our AI usage policy rather than pretending the question does not arise.
And where you should stay sceptical:
- We earn commission when you buy through our links. That is a real conflict of interest. We manage it with the constraints in our editorial policy, but you should weigh it.
- We are a small operation, not a laboratory. We cannot test at the scale a consumer body can.
- Nothing here replaces a vet who has examined your animal.
Editorial philosophy
We start from the reader's problem rather than the product catalogue. An article should answer the question near the top, then earn the rest of your attention by explaining why. We prefer to recommend one thing confidently than five things vaguely, and we would rather tell you that you do not need to buy anything at all than invent a reason to link.

How we are funded
Affiliate commissions, and nothing else. When you buy something through one of our links, the retailer pays us a small percentage at no extra cost to you. We do not run sponsored posts, sell placements, or accept payment to review or rank anything.
